Contest overview:

Enter a radio station contest to win a MacBook computer with a pro-quality USB Microphone and speakers!

No purchase necessary to enter or to win. Void where prohibited.

To enter, contestant must call the Illinois Center for Broadcasting to schedule a date and time to stop by the OCB Campus [1310 Wadsworth Blvd, Suite 100, Lakewood CO 80214. Phone: 303-937-7070.]

The contestant will then fill out a contest entry form, verify age of 18 years or older with photo ID, and will then read and record a 30 second script in one of OCB’s studios.

Each contestant will have three [3] chances or thirty [30] minutes to record their voice over, and then pick the best of the three as their contest entry.

One entry is defined as one thirty [30] second demo audio cd and a fully completed registration form. Duplicate entries will be automatically disqualified.

Appointments are not guaranteed and will be given on a first come, first serve basis at the discretion of OCB and upon availability of OCB staff.

Each entry will be sent to the participating radio station. Once all entries are received, they will be judged by staff at the radio station, and the winner will be chosen.

Contestants can schedule a time to record their voice over at the OCB Campus on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, between 9:30am and 6:30pm, or on Wednesdays from 10am to 8pm.

  1. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older and must be able to verify age with a photo ID.
  2. Enrolled students and employees of OCB, and employees of the radio station and their families are not eligible to participate in the contest. One winner per household is permitted in any contest.
  3. No purchase necessary to enter contest; all contest entries must be recorded in-person at the OCB campus.
  4. One (1) winner for each radio station contest will be chosen by the staff at the radio station from all entries received before the deadline. One backup winner will also be selected in case the intially selected winner does not qualify or does not claim their prize.
  5. Each contest will run for four (4) weeks, and the deadline for entry and the date the winners will be chosen will be specified in advance for each contest.
  6. The winner will receive an Apple MacBook computer, a Professional USB Microphone and a pair of speakers.
  7. Prize winners will be notified by telephone and email, and must claim their prize in person at radio station within thirty (30) days; prizes not claimed as required will be awarded to the backup winner.
  8. By entering the contests, participants consent to the use of their first names, voice over recordings, and photos for contest purposes; Winners will be required to provide proof of citizenship or resident alien status, and furnish appropriate tax information at the time the prize is claimed.
